Visual development of sequence from CTRLX project
This was my personal favourite advert to work in the CTRLX project. I feel like the multiple layers of it work well. The idea behind this was parodying products which had child friendly mascots representing them, and include themes of not being sure of what's in our food. The eyeball mascot is also, thematically, the 'free gift' in the cereal box, not something you'd expect, and is a 'cereal killer', using violence as a means to intimidate people into buy the product.
I wanted my work in this project to have striking colour palettes, for this advert I chose the colour red, for danger, as well as to offset the otherwise cheerful and innocuous nature of the advert I was parodying.
